Emergency Grant Fund Establisted

The CHNA has approved the establishment of an Emergency Grant Fund. This grant is available to senior citizens 62 years of age and older who are residents of Corn Hill. It is not required for the grant to be repaid. The grant can be used for emergencies such as:

  • Telephone Service (i.e. interruption of service)
  • Fire (i.e. lodging for a night
  • Snow Removal
  • Small Household Repairs (i.e. broken windows, locksmiths etc)
  • Emergency Medical (i.e. Prescriptions, Office Appointment)
  • Transportation (i.e. Lift Line, Cabs etc.)

This grant will be available until the funds are depleted. Please keep in mind that the funds are limited and it is our desire to be able to assist more than one individual. In order to do this we have limited each grant to $200. This is a one-time grant and cannot be given to one individual(s) on a continuing basis.

Please call (585) 262-3142 and leave your name, address, telephone number, and date and time you called but especially, the nature of your emergency. Someone from the Philanthropy Committee will return your call.
